The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada, Ruslan Stefanchuk, stated that the legalization of same-sex marriages in Ukraine is impossible due to Article 51 of the Constitution. He noted that changing the Constitution is not allowed during martial law. The issue of legalization was discussed during the preparation of amendments to the Family Code.
