Victor Tabircea, a Moldovan citizen, died at the front in Ukraine after being coerced into signing a contract with the Russian army under the threat of deportation. He was detained in Russia for allegedly staying illegally. According to the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine, Tabircea died in June 2026 in Kharkiv Oblast.
