Logging has resumed under the power line in Runa pasture, starting on 31 August 2026. The following day, 1 September, reports indicated continued logging under the Vododіlny Ridge, raising concerns among environmentalists and local residents.

Deforestation is ongoing in Transcarpathia under the Vododilnyy Ridge for the construction of power lines and a new forest road. Some of the work is taking place in areas where red-listed plant and animal species are found. The wind farm on Polonyna Runa also requires new infrastructure.
