In August 2026, Ukraine began measures to enhance control over traffic rule violations. The Ministry of Internal Affairs announced the return of 'Phantom' patrol cars and the installation of new automatic enforcement cameras. A new draft law is being discussed, which proposes differentiated penalties for drivers who repeatedly violate traffic rules and measures aimed at reducing speeding incidents.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine has announced increased penalties for systematic traffic violations and the return of special 'Phantom' patrol vehicles. By the end of August, at least three of these vehicles will be deployed, along with the installation of 600 new automatic violation detection cameras.
