In September 2026, the Chernihiv region experienced numerous attacks from Russian forces, including artillery shelling and the use of drones. As a result of these attacks, 82 people were killed and over 500 were injured. Ukrainian defence forces responded with strikes on Russian military facilities that could coordinate drone operations.

Chernihiv region has experienced enemy strikes that have damaged forests and caused numerous fires. The use of artillery and FPV drones has led to an increase in wildfires in the area.

Over several days, Russian forces shelled settlements in the Chernihiv region, causing significant destruction. According to police, at least two people have died, and more than 500 have been injured since the beginning of the year. The attacks have damaged several houses and regional infrastructure.
Ukrainian forces struck a Russian military facility in Bryansk Oblast that could coordinate drone flights. The strikes occurred on September 4, targeting a MESH network relay and a radar station.
