On September 4, 2026, a drone struck the building of the Security Service of Ukraine in Kyiv, reportedly hitting the office of the SBU head. The consequences of the attack have not yet been confirmed. An officer of the Armed Forces of Ukraine commented on the targeted strike, noting that similar attempts had occurred before.

A Russian drone struck the building of the Security Service of Ukraine in central Kyiv. At the time of the attack, the acting head of the SBU, Oleksandr Poklad, was not in his office. Several people were injured, with two in serious condition.
