The Ukrainian parliament has blocked five anti-corruption bills, which are essential for securing financial aid from the EU. This has raised concerns about potential losses of 120 billion UAH. On September 1, the anti-corruption bills were returned to the agenda, but the issue of reform debts remains pressing.
From the beginning to today
On August 21, the parliamentary committee of Ukraine confirmed its decision to block five bills aimed at strengthening the fight against corruption. These bills are requirements from the European Union for receiving €2.1 billion in financial assistance by the end of 2026.
