Storyline
The Nordic-Baltic Eight summit will take place in Kyiv on 23 August 2026, where Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky will emphasise the need for funding for the military and civil protection. Defence issues, including the FREYJA project, as well as support for Ukraine's energy sector and financial stability, will be discussed. The summit aims to strengthen cooperation between Ukraine and the Nordic and Baltic countries.
From the beginning to today
The summit 'Ukraine – Nordic-Baltic Eight' took place in Kyiv, attended by leaders from Ukraine and five other countries. President Volodymyr Zelensky highlighted the need for funding of $8-10 billion for the army and civil protection by early 2027.
