On September 8, US military forces destroyed five Iranian tankers, three of which, according to Ukrainian sanctions commissioner Vladyslav Vlasiuk, are linked to Russia's shadow fleet. The tankers, Kaviz, Charminar, and Riesco, were involved in transporting Russian oil and were under sanctions from Ukraine and the US.
