On 24 August 2026, during the 35th anniversary of Ukraine's independence, President Volodymyr Zelensky and First Lady Olena Zelenska honoured the memory of fallen defenders. They laid flowers at the memorial and observed a minute of silence for the deceased soldiers.

Президент Володимир Зеленський та перша леді Олена Зеленська вшанували пам'ять загиблих захисників України біля Стіни пам'яті у Києві. Подружжя поклало квіти та провело хвилину мовчання на честь полеглих воїнів у 35-ту річницю відновлення незалежності України.
