In August 2026, the bell of the Desyatynna Church in Kyiv rang for the first time in nearly 800 years. The recreation was carried out by the Ukraine WOW public organization in collaboration with the National Museum of the History of Ukraine and with the support of the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine.
From the beginning to today
For the first time in nearly 800 years, the bell of the Desiatynna Church rang in Kyiv. The restoration was carried out by the public organisation Ukraine WOW in collaboration with the National Museum of the History of Ukraine and with the support of the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine.
Kyiv presented the reconstructed bell of the Desiatynna Church, which has been silent since 1240. The project was carried out by the NGO Ukraine WOW in collaboration with the National Museum of the History of Ukraine, supported by the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine. The recreated bell will be on display from September 3 to 30.
