Return of Ukrainian children from occupation
In August 2026, Lithuania launched the project 'Children Above All. Protecting Ukraine's Future' to facilitate the return of Ukrainian children displaced to Russia. Lithuania allocated €600,000 to support organisations working on this issue, but as of 30 August 2026, 600,000 children remain under occupation.
