The Supreme Court of Ukraine mitigated the punishment for a Jehovah's Witness, replacing imprisonment with a probation period. The court recognised the conscription of the deacon of the religious community during mobilisation as lawful. Previously, a case was heard in Kharkiv regarding a man who refused to serve in the military.

The Supreme Court of Ukraine has ruled on a Jehovah's Witness who was punished for draft evasion. The court replaced the prison sentence with a probation period, deeming the call-up of the community's deacon during mobilisation lawful.
