Financial reorganisation of bankrupt banks in Ukraine
In August 2026, the former Sberbank transferred over UAH 1.7 billion to the state, while bankrupt banks received UAH 152.7 million from asset sales. Concurrently, preparations are underway for the privatisation of state banks, including UGB, planned for 2027. In August 2026, insolvent banks paid creditors over UAH 270 million.
