The State Service of Ukraine for Ethnopolitics and Freedom of Conscience initiated inspections of dioceses of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (Moscow Patriarchate) for potential ties with the Russian Orthodox Church. Initially, the Borispil and Zaporizhzhia dioceses were inspected, followed by the Balta diocese. The inspection revealed a connection between the Borispil diocese and the Russian Orthodox Church.

The State Service of Ukraine for Ethnopolitics and Freedom of Conscience has initiated checks on the Borispil and Zaporizhzhia dioceses of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (Moscow Patriarchate) for connections to the Russian Orthodox Church. The investigation has already identified three signs of affiliation between the Zaporizhzhia diocese and the Russian Orthodox Church.
