Latvia has begun publishing a list of companies trading with Russia and Belarus, starting with 170 enterprises. From 1 September, the country will impose a ban on the import of books, clothing, and toys from these nations.

A new package of restrictions on imports from Russia and Belarus came into effect in Latvia on September 1, 2026. The ban covers books, clothing, footwear, toys, and other industrial goods, including printed materials.
