Storyline
The village of Hrakove in Kharkiv Oblast became the first fully cleared settlement in Ukraine. The process of cleaning the area, which was contaminated with explosive remnants, was completed on June 24, 2013, and over 500 munitions were neutralised during the clearance.
From the beginning to today
Explosive ordnance disposal teams have completed the demining of Grakove village in the Kharkiv region, making it the first fully cleared settlement in Ukraine. The operation, which addressed 90% of the area contaminated by explosive devices, was funded through the UNITED24 platform as part of the 'Step by Step' initiative.
