Deadline for capturing Donbas
The Russian political leadership set a deadline for capturing the Donetsk and Luhansk regions by December 31, 2026. However, Pavlo Palisa, Deputy Head of the President’s Office of Ukraine, considers this task unrealistic and reports that the Russian command is requesting to extend the deadline to spring 2027.
