Cases of abuse in Ukraine's recruitment centres
In August 2026, investigations into abuses at territorial recruitment centres (TRCs) in Ukraine were initiated. Ten TRC employees in Odesa were charged with torture and unlawful deprivation of liberty, alongside numerous cases of bribery and evasion of conscription being uncovered. The cases are ongoing, particularly under the operation 'Justice for Fighters'.
