Extension of temporary protection for Ukrainians in Germany
Germany has automatically extended the temporary protection for Ukrainians until 2028. However, from October 9, 2026, new requirements will be introduced for conscripted Ukrainians, who may lose their right to simplified residency if they do not confirm the fulfilment of their military duty.
