Saffron harvesting season in Volyn
The saffron harvesting season, the world’s most expensive spice, has begun in Volyn. The only farm in the region, founded by 89-year-old Mykola Mykiychuk and his grandson Ivan Yatsyna, cultivates this crop on four hectares of land. The price of one gram of saffron is 4 euros.
