Archaeologists have found Cossack artifacts from the 17th and 18th centuries in the area of Starozhytnia Kam'yanka, located in modern Dnipro. The research is conducted by the Yavornytsky Museum, and the materials found indicate the existence of a settlement prior to the founding of Katerynoslav.
