Hasidic pilgrimage to Uman during the war
Each year, around 50,000 Hasidic pilgrims visit Uman for Rosh Hashanah, despite the ongoing war in Ukraine. This pilgrimage has continued since Ukraine's independence, as the grave of Rabbi Nachman of Breslov is a significant spiritual centre. Recently, Hasidim discussed issues regarding the ancient Jewish cemetery in Uman with Donald Trump.
