In August 2026, Russia conducted a series of mass attacks on Ukraine using drones, resulting in numerous civilian casualties and significant infrastructure damage. On Ukraine's Independence Day, August 24, eight people were killed, including reports of injured children. Overall, at least 20 people died and dozens were injured in the attacks over several days.
