Ceasefire in Ukraine and continued Russian attacks
Ukraine announced a unilateral ceasefire from September 5 to 8, hoping for a response from Russia. However, despite this, Russia continued its attacks on Ukrainian cities, including missile strikes and drone usage, resulting in civilian casualties. Ukrainian defence forces were instructed to respond in kind to the actions of the adversary.
