Exclusion of Lomonosov from school curriculum in Lithuania
In Lithuania, the Ministry of Education, Science and Sport has removed the works of Mikhail Lomonosov from the school curriculum for ninth-grade students. This decision affects the Russian language and literature programme for schools of the Russian national minority and will take effect from the new academic year. There are also discussions about the potential complete abolition of Russian language instruction by 2030.
