The 36th Ramstein meeting took place on September 8, 2026, during which Ukraine urged international partners to increase funding for drones and air defence systems. On the same day, contracts were announced for the supply of approximately 1,000 missiles for the Patriot systems.
From the beginning to today
On September 8, 2026, the 36th meeting of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group in the Ramstein format took place. Ukraine's Minister of Defense, Yevhenii Khmara, and the Chief of the General Staff, Mykhailo Drapatiy, presented a war plan and urged partners to enhance funding for air defense and drones.
On September 8, the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine announced contracts for the supply of about 1000 missiles for the Patriot system. Defence Minister Yevhenii Khmara stated that the funding will be provided through loans from the European Union.
