Journalists have identified two employees of the pretrial detention centre No. 2 in Simferopol suspected of torturing Ukrainians. These include the head of the regime and supervision department, Leonid Koveh, and his former deputy, Janat Akhmetov. The investigation also revealed systematic abuses in Russia's detention centres in Crimea.
